Colvin Labs is an early-stage product development and prototyping lab focused on mechanical design, CNC machining, and functional prototype development.
Development centers on precision mechanical components produced through CAD/CAM, mini CNC lathe workflows, and additive manufacturing. Current efforts include design iteration, manufacturability refinement, and development of custom parts for niche applications, model making, and small-scale product concepts.
Ongoing projects include precision-machined miniature components, custom mechanical assemblies, and prototype parts for iterative product development.
Work focuses on combining CAD/CAM workflows with CNC machining and additive manufacturing to rapidly develop and refine functional prototype designs in-house.
Selected work including CAD/CAM development, machining setups, prototype assemblies, and fabricated components produced during ongoing design and validation work.
The lab is currently focused on developing proprietary component designs, refining manufacturing workflows, and building repeatable in-house processes for future small-batch product production.
Current development includes evaluation of product concepts, prototype testing, and continued refinement of fabrication methods across CNC and additive workflows.
